Using Library Computers

Reserving Computers:

The library utilizes a self-service computer reservation system. The system allows users quick and equitable access to the library’s popular public-computing services. Using your library card number and personal identification number (PIN), there are multiple ways to reserve a computer:

  • In the library, if there is an open research or express station, you may log in to the computer immediately.
  • If all research and express stations at the branch are in use, use the branch reservation station to reserve a computer. You may reserve the next available computer, or make a future reservation for up to seven days in advance.
  • You may reserve a computer from home, school, work or anywhere you have Internet access. Make your reservation for a computer at any available time and location that is convenient for you

There are two types of computers available for reservation:

    • Express computers may be used for 15-minute intervals and can be reserved through the reservation station and for that day only.
    • Research computers may be used for intervals of one hour and can be reserved onsite or remotely.

Catalog Access Computers:

Most locations have library catalog-only workstations so you may easily perform a quick catalog search or access your customer record. These workstations do not require a reservation.

Citizen Wi-Fi is available at the following locations:
