Book Discussion Groups

Share your passion for reading with a CCPL book discussion group! No registration is required for the groups, and new attendees are always welcome. Discover new reads and new friends at a library near you. 

The Chesterfield County Public Library offers a variety of book discussion groups for customers to gather and discuss their love of books. Below is a list of just some of the groups we offer.

Bon Air Bookies

Third Wednesday, 7-8 p.m.

Central Between the Covers

Fourth Monday, 1-2 p.m. 

Central Library is closed and will remain closed until Summer 2018. Central’s book discussions, will take place at the Chester Library. Dates, times and titles to be discussed remain the same.

North Courthouse Road Library-Tween Parent Book Club

First Monday, 6:30- 7:30 p.m. 

Registration is required and begins one month before each session. All participating family members must register. Please call 804-318-8499 for more information.

CCPL Book Club Bags

CCPL makes it easier than ever to get multiple copies of a book for your book club or discussion group.

Book club bags:

  • Contain 6 or more copies of the title.
  • Can be checked out for 6 weeks at a time.
  • Include discussion questions and author information to enhance your discussion.

New titles will be added periodically, so check back soon or search for "book club bags" in the catalog.
