Spring into Music!

This spring, Chesterfield County Public Library will partner with the Chesterfield Cultural Arts Foundation to offer free, family-friendly concerts and educational music programs at four libraries.

Chester Library

One Voice Ensemble
This smaller section of the One Voice Chorus performs traditional spirituals, classical music, contemporary and classic jazz.

Festival Belles

Enjoy the sounds of classical, jazz, popular, and Broadway music from this a capella choir from Petersburg. With no instruments in sight, these women use only their voices to create their beautiful music.

Bonefire: A Trombone Choir
 
Classical, jazz and pop music for the whole family! Meet the musicians and learn the stories behind the music.

Richmond Jazz Band

The big band sound of this 20-piece ensemble features everything from standard jazz to rock and contemporary.

Enon Library

The Richmond Jazz Society’s  “Make Music with Me Band”
A blend of jazz and children’s classics creates this delightful concert for families. Children can join in with the band to make their own music.

Tin Pan Alley Cats
 
Ken Lelen sings vintage songs and plays acoustic guitars in this concert that offers hit tunes and tales of America’s greatest composers: Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Dorothy Fields, George & Ira Gershwin, Lorenz Hart, Jimmy McHugh, Richard Rodgers, Jule Styne and more.

Chris Campbell’s Music for Kids

Kick off summer vacation with us! Enjoy music and comical characters from singer, songwriter, and ventriloquist Chris Campbell. Registration is required and begins

The Richmond Jazz Society’s  “Make Music with Me Band”

The Uncle Devin Show 
Feel the beat! Enjoy an interactive music experience led by Uncle Devin. Children can hear, see, and play a variety of instruments while gaining an understanding of the history of percussion instruments. Registration is required and begins May 6.

Kid Pan Alley
Come sing with us! Kid Pan Alley inspires kids to create their own music. In this workshop, participants will work together to create and perform an original song. Registration is required and begins May 20.
