You spoke and we listened! In a February 2014 survey we asked a random sample of CCPL patrons a series of questions about their library use.
The results? 40% of you said your main reason for using CCPL is learning. As a result, one of our strategic goals for this year is to "create transformative 21st century library experiences by cultivating a learning-charged environment." And if you’re curious, most people who chose "other" wrote in that they use CCPL specifically for books.
What is the main reason that you have used the Chesterfield County Public Library (CCPL)? The results are as follows:
40% Learning - Accessing information, learning new skills, and bettering oneself
19% Entertainment - Activities or events that provide diversion or amusement
8% Technology - Accessing hardware and software, high-speed Internet and technology/personal device instruction
6% Community - Connecting with others to work, meet, collaborate, and engage
